FutureFinTech is Luxembourg鈥檚 National Centre of Excellence in Research and Innovation in Financial Technologies. It advances research at the intersection of technology, finance, and law to support a secure, innovative, and responsible financial system.
Established in 2023, the Centre brings together interdisciplinary expertise to address the transformation of financial services in Luxembourg. Hosted by SnT in close collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the 91短视频, FutureFinTech unites more than 80 researchers, including over 25 at professorial level, working on research that supports responsible innovation and strengthens Luxembourg鈥檚 position in the global financial ecosystem.
Why FutureFinTech matters
Financial systems are changing rapidly. New technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and cryptography, are reshaping how financial services are designed, delivered, and regulated. While these technologies promise efficiency and innovation, they also raise fundamental questions around trust, compliance, risk, and societal impact.
FutureFinTech responds to these challenges by producing independent, interdisciplinary research that supports the responsible integration of AI and other advanced technologies into financial systems. In doing so, the Centre:
- supports innovation while safeguarding financial stability
- informs regulation and policy through evidence-based insights
- strengthens Luxembourg鈥檚 role as an international financial hub
