Join us for an enlightening event focused on the exciting world of quantum, artificial intelligence and Cybersecurity. As quantum advances and artificial intelligence becomes more deeply embedded in all operations, their convergence presents both unprecedented opportunities and new security challenges. This event is designed for students, professionals, researchers, innovators, decision-makers and enthusiasts who are eager to examine how institutions can strengthen resilience in an era of rapidly evolving digital threats.
This event is the fourth one of the Quantum breakfast series organised by the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ and the AI Factory. The event will be moderated by Lisa Burke.

Beyond the Game: AI-enabled cyber threats and the defence of critical infrastructure
From chess to Go and Jeopardy, AI has systematically conquered humanity’s most celebrated intellectual games. Cybersecurity is next, and this time, the stakes extend far beyond the game board. This talk examines what this shift means for the security of the systems society depends on most: power grids, transportation systems, hospitals, and communication infrastructure. I will argue that the same AI capabilities driving offensive breakthroughs also open a fundamentally new design space for cyber defence, one that demands rigorous, trustworthy, and explainable AI systems rather than raw capability alone.
