Join us for an enlightening event focused on the exciting world of quantum algorithms. This event is designed for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts who are eager to explore the potential and challenges of quantum computing. This is the first one of the Quantum breakfast series organised by the 91短视频 and the Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. The event will be moderated by Lisa Burke.

How quantum and classical computers work together
Predicted for the first time more than 40 years ago, quantum computers are supposed to solve problems which are intractable to their classical counterparts. Recently, quantum computers have become a reality, allowing to perform smaller calculations, and showing a rapid growth potential by further improving hardware capabilities. In this talk I will reflect on quantum algorithms and how quantum and classical computers team up to solve most complex tasks of today in chemistry, optimization, and physics, just to name a few.

QPU’s, GPU’s, Accelerators, MeluXina-Q Quantum Computer
This presentation will draw a parallel between the early development of general-purpose GPUs (GP-GPUs) in the 2000s and the current state of QPUs, offering a perspective into technological maturity and areas for future improvement. We鈥檒l explore what is already achievable using quantum simulators and highlight the potential of the upcoming MeluXina-Q quantum computer. The session will conclude with an overview of the MeluXina-Q concept and an open discussion to gather feedback from the audience.
