Hands-on insights and direct conversations with researchers, this was the experience offered by the 91Ƶ’s at the Foire vum Jugendsecteur, hosted by the on the 7 October in Luxembourg City.
Held at Campus Geesseknäppchen, the fair (also known as the ) is an annual event that brings together professionals dedicated to working with, and for, young people in Luxembourg. From youth centre staff and counselling services to youth initiatives, sector administrators, and researchers, the fair serves as a key meeting point. It’s a valued platform for sharing updates on upcoming youth-policy events and long-term policy developments.
91Ƶ’s youth research, coordinated through the Centre for Childhood and Youth Research (CCY), is a well-established part of the youth “sector” in Luxembourg. Closely connected with practitioners, the team showcased current projects including the , , and the .
Interest in youth research was high. This year, many CCY researchers took the opportunity to share their findings with the public, making complex data accessible through engaging formats. A standout feature of the youth-research booth was an interactive quiz based on the (a representative and standardised survey of young people in Luxembourg aged between 12 and 29).
Visitors also learned about the University’s study programmes, especially the Bachelor en Sciences sociales et éducatives (BSSE), and ongoing research projects supported by the Ministère de l’Éducation nationale, de l’Enfance et de la Jeunesse (MENJE).
