Information is provided on the University&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/en\/privacy-notice\/cookies\/\">cookie notice<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"purposes-of-the-processing\"\n    >\nPurposes of the processing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 91短视频 processes personal data for the following purposes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For performing our mission of education as defined in the University law;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For performing our mission of research as defined in the University law;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For operational management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For video-surveillance in order to secure our buildings and the persons coming to these buildings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For managing the newsletters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For Alumni activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For the management and optimisation of the University\u2019s website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">When necessary for recording lectures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For the provision of services requested by you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For monitoring, analysing, and investigate security events and incidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the overall security posture of the University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For replying to you when you contact us via online forms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For the reimbursement of expenses you can engage on behalf of the University (e.g. in the course of travel to the University as an invited visitor).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">For improving efficiency and facilitating access to the University\u2019s internal knowledge and resources, and to publicly accessible internet sources by using the University\u2019s internal AI tool. Where the tool\u2019s internet access functionality is enabled, it may process publicly available information relating to identified or identifiable individuals. It is specifically designed to take into account the institutional context of the University, including its terminology, workflows, and processes, in order to enhance the relevance and usefulness of outputs for University staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"legal-basis-for-the-processing-of-personal-data-at-the-university\"\n    >\nLegal basis for the processing of personal data at the University<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Whenever the 91短视频 processes your personal data, it does so with a legal basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>91短视频 primarily process your personal data to perform its public tasks of education and research. Further information on the processing of your personal data by Brevo can be found in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brevo.com\/legal\/termsofuse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brevo terms of use<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">When personal data is submitted via the contact form for prospect students, Microsoft will have access to the data provided in the description field of the contact form (if any) as part of its AI assistance to help generate the response of the SEVE University. In this case, Microsoft will only have temporary access to the data, for the generation of the response, and the data will not be retained by Microsoft.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">SAP for the exchange of personal data related to the reimbursement of expenses engaged on behalf of the University via the SAP Concur application. SAP acts as a processor and the University entered to a data processing agreement with SAP. For more information, please refer to their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.concur.com\/privacy-policy?&amp;cookie_preferences=complete\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Privacy Statement &#8211; SAP Concur.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"retention-periods\"\n    >\nRetention periods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 91短视频 does not keep personal data for longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose of processing. 91短视频 has defined a retention period for each purpose. There may be occasions when we transfer your data outside of the European Economic Area, for example, for international mobility purposes, in case of an emergency or if we communicate with you using a cloud-based service provider that operates outside of the European Economic Area. Generally, i.e. where the University transfers your personal data to a third party that is located in a country which does not offer adequate privacy protection, the University will put in place a contract with the third party that includes the standard international data transfer contractual terms approved by the European Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, for the use of Microsoft and CISCO appropriate safeguards have been put in place by the University including the conclusion of the further agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"what-are-your-rights-with-regard-to-the-processing-of-your-personal-data\"\n    >\nWhat are your rights with regard to the processing of your personal data?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the GDPR, you benefit notably from the following rights: right to be informed, right to access to your personal data, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to restrict the scope of the processing, right to object, right to data portability, right to lodge a complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Right to be informed: you have the right to know how your personal data is collected and used.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Right to access you have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check whether it is lawfully processed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Right to rectification: you have the right to request the University to rectify any inaccurate personal data we hold about you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">Right to erasure: you have the right to obtain from us the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay. This right will only apply where, for example, you consider that there is no good reason for us continuing to process it and your personal data are not necessary for us; or where you withdraw your consent if we are using your personal data based on your consent; or where you object to the way we process your data (in line with the Right to object mentioned below).
